She received her diploma in the year 1997. She began her teaching career at Maury County teaching Reading to kindergarten and the 1st grade. Brent Jones was her UT Martin lover. The couple moved into Thompsons Station. Her first teaching job was with Bethesda Elementary, where she taught fourth grade. From 1999 to 2000, she taught while obtaining her Masters of Education at Trevecca Nazarene University. She left the classroom in 2000 when they welcomed their baby boy Baylor. Ashley has served for 15 years in the community, her church and children. Ashley is director of the Preschool Ministry as well as in the student Ministry for over 13 years. Ashley taught her children at home for three years when she was away at her home. While they were homeschooling the kids attended a home school class in which Ashley was also a teacher of History to Kindergarten and 1st grade. Ashley loved her homeschooling experience and being with her children God evidently showed her family members that it was the right time to re-enter school full time. Brent and Ashley each have five children. Silas, Eliza, and Cruz all go to GCA. Baylor is a GCA graduate is a student at playing baseball in UT Martin. Callan an GCA graduate is enrolled at Western Kentucky University. This is a very busy family, who love fishing, sports and hunting.
