Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She was a harpsichord student as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. She was able to survive on a student allowance and worked part-time to supplement her budget. Lennox decided to change her path in life after she became dissatisfied by her inexperience in contrast to others Royal Academy students. Lennox began her career in the year 1976 in the group called Dragons Playground. She quit the band before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent show. She was the singer in The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. In this band, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they would form The Eurythmics pop duo. Lennox went on to record her solo debut album Diva. The album was released in 1992. The album received a lot of praise from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album came out in November of 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's favorite blues, jazz, and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four improvised tracks for piano, which Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. This is the companion album to her Now I let the door open... art installation that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first self-released album.
