Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. Her birth date was 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Lennox was able to survive on the stipend of a student as well as working part-time to supplement her earnings. Lennox was able to make a change in her path in life following her dissatisfaction with her lack of skill in the same way as the other Royal Academy students. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. The group did not appear on the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. She was the main singer for The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until the year 1980. In this band, she got to know Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to release her first solo album Diva. This was released in 1992. The album received a lot of praise from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album debuted in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top jazz, blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera is a collection of four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut self-produced album as well as a follow-up to an art installation she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You go... Following a modest success as a member of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to be recognized as the duo known as Eurythmics in the 1980s.
