Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. She was born on 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox attended her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She was a harpsichord student and the flautist piano for 3 years. Lennox was paid a stipend and did part-time jobs to help supplement her income. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance when compared with her peers and contemplated a possible alternative route she could take. Lennox was a flute player in a band named Dragons Playground in 1976. She quit the group before they appeared on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. Her main role was as the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. It was during this time that she met Dave Stewart with whom she formed Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox went on to release her first solo album Diva. It was released in 1992. The album received a lot of praise, both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record was released in the month of November. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top jazz, blues and soul songs. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox published Lepidoptera an album comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut self-produced album as well as a follow-up to her art work designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a philanthropist, activist as well as a performer. At the end of the 70s, Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while part in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. The year 1992 was the year Lennox launched a solo career with her debut album Diva which yielded numerous successful songs, such as Why and Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa a studio album which was released in 1995, features versions of some of her best-loved songs, including The No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and A Whiter Shade of Pale).
