Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She was a harpsichord scholar and flute for three whole years. Lennox made it through on a student allowance and part-time work in order to earn a living. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy with her performance compared to the other students. She began considering alternative options. Lennox played flute of a group named Dragons Playground in 1976. The band disbanded when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists.
