Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She was a harpsichord scholar and flute for three whole years. Lennox made it through on a student allowance and part-time work in order to earn a living. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy with her performance compared to the other students. She began considering alternative options. Lennox played flute of a group named Dragons Playground in 1976. The band disbanded when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. That was also where she met Dave Stewart with whom she joined Pop duo Eurythmics. In the years following, Lennox started working on her first solo album Diva that was released in the year 1992. It was a huge success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top blues as well as soul and jazz tracks. Lepidoptera is a collection of four improvised tracks for piano that Lennox dropped in May 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is a complement to an art installation she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... It's also her debut independently released album. The latter part of the 70s was when she became famous as part of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international popularity as Eurythmics.
