Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She was a harpsichord student as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend to students and part-time jobs. Lennox believed that her abilities aren't the same as those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other paths she could take. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. But she quit when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she served as the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British pop group. There she made friends with Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Lennox went on to record her debut solo album Diva. This was released in 1992. This album became a huge success, both in terms of sales and critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album, released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top jazz, blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. First album of hers"Now I'm Letting You Go... is the soundtrack to her exhibit of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is an Scottish politician, philanthropist and musician and singer. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to gain international recognition in the 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. Lennox debuted her solo music career in 1992 by releasing her debut album Diva. It featured many popular songs including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and Why. Medusa is a studio album that features the cover versions of some popular songs like No MoreILove Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. She is credited with seven studio albums by herself as well as a compilation. |
